🍲 *Moong Dal Khichdi – Comfort Food*
🍴 Serves: 2-3
⏱️ Cooking Time: 25 minutes
📝 *Ingredients*
➡️ ½ cup Yellow Moong Dal
➡️ ½ cup Rice
➡️ 1 tbsp Ghee
➡️ 1 small Onion – chopped (optional)
➡️ 1 Tomato – chopped
➡️ 1 Green Chili – slit
➡️ 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
➡️ ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
➡️ ½ tsp Ginger – grated
➡️ 1 ½ to 2 cups Water
➡️ Salt – to taste
👩🍳 *Instructions*
👉 *Step 1:* Wash rice and moong dal together and keep aside.
👉 *Step 2:* Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, ginger, and green chili.
👉 *Step 3:* Add onion and tomato, sauté for 2-3 minutes.
👉 *Step 4:* Add washed rice & dal, turmeric, salt, and water. Mix well.
👉 *Step 5:* Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.
👉 *Step 6:* Once pressure releases, open lid and mash lightly.
👉 *Step 7:* Serve hot with curd, papad, or pickle.
