A rich, creamy, and flavorful North Indian curry made with paneer (cottage cheese), butter, tomatoes, and aromatic spices — perfect with naan, roti, or jeera rice.
🛒 *Ingredients*
🧈 2 tbsp butter
🧅 1 large onion (roughly chopped)
🍅 3 medium tomatoes (chopped)
🧄 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
🧂 Salt to taste
🌶️ 1 tsp red chili powder
🟡 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
🟤 1 tsp coriander powder
🧀 200g paneer (cut into cubes)
🥄 1 tsp garam masala
🧁 2 tbsp fresh cream
🌿 1 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
💧 Water as required
👩🍳 *Instructions*
*1. Sauté onions and tomatoes*
Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté till translucent. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Let it cool.
*2. Make the base*
Blend the cooled onion-tomato mixture into a smooth paste.
*3. Prepare the gravy*
In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp butter. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Pour in the blended paste and cook on medium flame for 5–6 minutes.
*4. Add spices*
Add red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook till oil separates.
*5. Add paneer and cream*
Add paneer cubes and mix gently. Add water to adjust consistency. Add cream and stir slowly.
*6. Finish with flavor*
Sprinkle garam masala and crushed kasuri methi. Simmer for 2–3 minutes and turn off the flame.
🍽️ *Serving Suggestion*
Serve hot with naan, butter roti, or jeera rice. Garnish with a swirl of cream and fresh coriander leaves.
