🍛 *Dal Tadka – Simple & Flavorful Dinner Recipe*
A classic North Indian dal that is light, aromatic, and perfect for a wholesome dinner. Ready in 20 minutes!
🧾 *Ingredients*
➡️ 1 cup arhar/toor dal
➡️ 1 medium onion, chopped
➡️ 1 tomato, chopped
➡️ 1 green chilli
➡️ ½ tsp turmeric
➡️ Salt to taste
*For Tadka:*
➡️ 1 tbsp ghee
➡️ 1 tsp cumin seeds
➡️ 2–3 garlic cloves, chopped
➡️ 1 dry red chilli
➡️ ½ tsp red chilli powder
➡️ A pinch of hing
➡️ Fresh coriander for garnish
👩🍳 *How to Make*
1️⃣ Pressure cook dal + onion + tomato + green chilli + turmeric + salt with 2 cups water for 3–4 whistles.
2️⃣ Mash lightly and keep aside.
3️⃣ Heat ghee in a small pan.
4️⃣ Add cumin, garlic, dry red chilli, hing, and let them sizzle.
5️⃣ Add red chilli powder and turn off the flame.
6️⃣ Pour the tadka over the dal.
7️⃣ Garnish with coriander and serve hot.

Serve with steaming rice, chapati, or jeera rice for a perfect dinner.
